The effects of stress on aversive and appetitive conditioning and reversal

ABSTRACT

In this line of studies, we are examining how acute stress influences the way in which participants learn to assign aversive or appetitive value to cues, and how stress may further alter the flexible reversal of these cue contingencies. We are addressing this both behaviorally using an aversive Pavlovian conditioning-reversal paradigm, and neurally using an appetitive learning-reversal paradigm.
