Insight in decision-making refers to the accurate appraisal of one’s skills and capabilities. In this study we found that participants who had better insight showed a tighter relationship between pupil dilation and confidence. Together our findings reveal that the ability to track a physiological index of uncertainty is an important correlate of insight in decision-making.
