NEUROSCIENCE
The MINY Van Project
ABSTRACT
Research on household financial decisions using a newly-constituted Vanguard Research Institute Panel. The project models and measures wealth accumulation, asset holding, health, long term care, and labor market decisions of a large sample of Vanguard clients of age 55 and over using tightly-specified life cycle models of behavior. Co-PIs are John Ameriks of Vanguard and Matthew Shapiro of the University of Michigan. In addition there are two NYU Ph.D students in economics, Joseph Briggs and Mi Luo who are working on this, together with Christopher Tonetti who is now an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
